We
at Clavel Home Care realize that caregiving is one of the most fundamental
human interactions. Indeed,
we take great pride in fostering personal, abiding connections with
our clients and their families. In
light of our focus on the human element of our calling, we'd like
to acquaint you with our Director, Remy C. Rippens.
Remy
is a Registered Nurse with over 22 years experience in the caregiving
profession. Her nursing career began in 1979 at Huntington
Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California, where she worked
for 13 years in both the Intensive Care and Intermediate Care Units.
During this time, Remy honed her critical care skills and gained
valuable knowledge of telemetry and post-surgical care.
While
at Huntington, Remy developed an interest in psychiatry, and in
1986 she completed her training as a mental health nurse at Las
Encinas Hospital (also located in Pasadena). Remy worked per
diem at Las Encinas for the next 6 years, caring for patients
with chemical dependency, eating disorders, and other adolescent
and adult psychiatric conditions.
Meanwhile,
Huntington Memorial Hospital opened its own behavioral services
facility known as the Della
Martin Center. Remy transferred to Della Martin in 1992, where
she has continued to work per diem for the past 9 years.
Clients
of Clavel Home Care can rest assured that each of our caregivers
is closely supervised by Remy on a daily basis. Her knowledge of
medicine, critical care, mental health care, and geriatric care
make her the ideal person to entrust with your homecare needs.
